Course Itinerary
Day 0 — Rendezvous in Joseph, OR - Optional - No Extra Cost - March 25
Getting to Joseph can be a bit of a journey, and to facilitate a stress free start to our trip, we are providing our guests with a night of lodging and dinner in the town of Joseph. We’ll get a chance to get acquainted, look over equipment, and pore over the map. This is entirely optional.
Day 1 — Ski In and Snowpack Evaluation - March 26
The adventure begins in Joseph, Oregon, where we meet for introductions, gear checks, and a trip briefing. From the trailhead, we skin into the Wing Ridge Yurt, carrying in our gear and supplies for the trip.
Once settled, we head into the field to evaluate the current snowpack and review safe travel protocols. This first day sets the tone for the week, allowing guides to assess conditions and plan objectives that will deliver the best snow and most rewarding descents in the days ahead.
Day 2 - March 27
Our first full day of skiing focuses on exploration and building flow as a team. We head toward Phat Ridge, where glades and open slopes provide excellent options for fresh powder turns. Avalanche awareness and terrain assessment remain a focus as we establish safe travel habits and refine uphill techniques.
Day 3 - March 28
With legs warmed up and conditions well understood, we set our sights on bigger terrain, as long as the snowpack allows. The bowls off of Wing Ridge offer a mix of above tree line alpine terrain and gladed chutes. Expect big vertical and plenty of opportunity to put efficient touring skills into practice. We’ll finish the day with a long descent back toward the yurt and a well-earned dinner beside the fire.
Day 4 - March 29
Our final morning is dedicated to a few last powder laps in the trees near camp before packing up and making the ski out to the trailhead. There will be an option for folks to exit early in the morning if they need to get on the road.
