Born in Bend, Oregon - growing up skiing at Mount Bachelor, Blu Risseeuw has spent most of his life east of the Cascades. He works as a ski guide, carpenter and forestry professional, blending practical skills to the landscape. 

A graduate of Enterprise High School, Blu earned a B.S. in Natural Resources - Ecology before returning to Enterprise, OR where he lives with his partner and two daughters. 

His background includes 5 years guiding in the Wallowas, Pro 1 avalanche certification, WFR/CPR and nearly a decade as a wildland firefighter. 

Outside of chasing his family around and backcountry skiing, he enjoys hunting, river boating, spending time at the lake and playing fetch with his dog Sunny.
